Location
Our quiet B&B is located in a Bai farmers’ village (between the Cangshan mountains and the Erhai Lake), 15 km north of Dali Old Town.
Dali Garden B&B is in the centre of the village and just 75 meters from the Erhai Lake.
One km north of the B&B is the ancient town of Xizhuo with its Bai morning market and traditional Bai courtyard houses. Zhoucheng, another Bai traditional village is also nearby. 

It’s a nice tour on the bicycle from Dali Old Town. You bike through the farmers and fishermen villages and between the rice fields. On the way you make stops to enjoy the beautiful views. 

The new touristic road circling the lake is  just around the corner.

Dali Garden Bed & Breakfast
is not a normal "commercial" B&B. You are our special guest and you can use also private parts of the house, such as the comfortable living room with TV. The B&B is build in Bai architecture but with European influence.

The nice decorated guestrooms (doubles on first floor and twins on second floor) have modern Western facilities and an  attached bathroom with shower (one double on the third floor without attached bathroom , but with a fantastic view over the village, lake and mountains).
 

§  We speak English

§  The rooms are not big, have no tv-set, nor phone, but are very clean, have good mattresses, 2 comfortable rattan chairs and table which you also can use for sitting on the veranda. The rooms are decorated with parts of dresses of the minorities in Yunnan

§  Spacious attached bathroom with 'walking-in' shower,  24 hours hot water and western toilet, hair dryer, makeup/shaving mirror, slippers, bathrobes.  
About slippers, everyone have to use slippers in the house.  Our dog "Tommy"  will watch your shoes/slippers.

§  However in wintertime it's not very cold, but we have electric blankets and on request we install an electric heater in your room

§  Wireless Internet access 

§  When you want to bike, we take care we have good bicycles for free use. When you want to walk through the fields, you take care of good shoes by yourself

§  Small library

§  Laundry facilities and iron/ironing board (on request)

§  A sunny flower garden with terraces

§  We have a  ping-pong table, so if you want to work at your condition....

§  Terrace on the roof with great views on the Cangshan mountains and the Erhai Lake

§  Start your day with an extensive Western breakfast; Yunnan coffee, orange juice, bread (dark walnut bread and French baguette) with marmalade, cheese, eggs with ham or bacon, fruit, yoghurt/milk, muesli/cornflakes, pancakes and so on

§  Excursions in Dali region, because we live here we can show you the nicest places

§  We organize cultural events in daytime or evening on request (Bai language, songs, dance  and music)

§  We organize Chinese cooking lessons.

We use a menu (breakfast, lunch and dinner) with all kinds of traditional Bai, Chinese and Western food and drinks (coffee, beer, wines and soft drinks). 

When the weather is good (most of the time it is) you can eat outside in the garden. After dinner you can walk to the lake and enjoy the sunset, relax in the garden or on the terrace on the roof of the house. The nights in the village are dark and the sky is full of stars.

Price per night

Price includes extensive western breakfast, free use of bicycles and all mineral water, soft drinks and Dali beer you need during your stay.
Price for an extra bed (for 1 or  2 small child) is 60 rmb included breakfast.
             

There are regular buses to Dali Old Town and to Lijiang. We can arrange your transfer to or from the

airport/ bus station, your hotel in Dali, Lijiang, or all of other cities in Yunnan by private car.

 

We organize guided bike and car tours from Dali Old Town, boat tours on the Erhai lake (e.g. Wase, fisherman’s -Jinsuo- islands) and tours by car to traditional villages and markets .
